HallelujahAt first I grumbled about the cost of the Olympics. Still, my husband and I attended the torch ceremony in our city to watch the First Nation hoop dancers. Here the spirit and bond within the Canadian heart captured us as we welcomed the world to our country. I’m glad I let my grumbling go. I learned so much from the Olympics beginning with the opening ceremonies. The death of Georgian Olympian, Nodar Kumaritashvili in a practice run on the luge track cast a black shadow upon the opening ceremony. Little can relieve the pain of Nodar’s family and friends… Yet, I was deeply moved by K. D. Lang’s mournful, soulful, inspirational singing of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah” at that ceremony. The lyrics spoke an eternal truth: Reminding us – whether we are in the broken or perfect moments of life – that both moments have equal value and meaning. Reminding us to sing “Hallelujah” through ALL of life’s offerings. Hallelujah, from Hebrew meaning “Let us praise.” Through singing our mournful and joyous “Hallelujah’s” we reach for - and, in time, touch upon faith, solace and acceptance in the face of seemingly senseless suffering. Hallelujah… Olympian’s Connected to Their True PowerAlso, I was gifted with seeing the Olympian gold skate-dance of the Canadian couple, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. Not only were they the first North Americans to win this competition but also the youngest. Their exquisite, fluid beauty, timing and elegance were breathtaking. I saw how their skate-dance flowed from their highest being – no small-minded worry pulling them from their divine best. That very night I dreamed I was visiting bitter and bent elderly parents. To my surprise I saw the once bent, white-haired mother and father were transformed. As they entered the opulent ballroom of our family home/mansion both were now tall, stately and elegantly dressed with skates on! Without a word they then performed an exquisite skate-dance upon the marble floor to orchestral music with startling grace and beauty. With total joy I realized, “They have reclaimed - and now dance - their Wild Power!” There is no greater joy. YOU are Connected to Olympian Power! This connection to their wild power was what I’d recognized within all the Olympians. Each of us is connected to this wild power, this God-ness, this true self within us. You know the truth of it. Remember the times when you knew your work or playing was absolutely inspired? We are ALL called to be an Olympian – to fully express the Olympian power that is the essence of our being – in our everyday lives. What is your Olympian dream? Believe. Come to Our Forum |
"Teresa, thank-you so much for sharing your strength and wisdom with me -- and for giving me a gift I didn't really realize I needed -- permission to truly express my authentic self and to tell the world who I really am and what I offer. For that I am truly grateful."

Each of us has our answers within - sometimes we just need to listen more deeply, practice more patience, solitude, reflection, contemplation and sharing with someone who listens and cares. For many people - friends and family cannot offer this type of mentoring or support when the time has come to listen to one's own truth above all else.
Within my Lifework Mentoring I offer suggestions and practices for you that have brought me closer to my True Self, and have resurrected my mission and my passion from the ashes. Most of us simply need someone who can reflect our “holy music” back to us and encourage us to follow our True Self. It is so easy to overlook our own ‘God-ness.’
Please visit me at "Lifework Mentoring" if you would like to find out about our introductory, 30 minute, complimentary Lifework Mentoring session.
